oh dear it's been two months down the road, and like 4 months to go!

well. at least there's a little progress now and we've decided who to do the following stuff:

1. photography
2. make-up for nikah & sanding - booked them already
3. hantaran - mula-mula kitorang berangan nak buat sendiri la kan, konon kreatip. tapi bila pikir-pikir balik...duit sama banyak gak yg akan dibelanjakan. masa lagi. kan. maka kami serahkan saja kepada yang pakar untuk membantu. hehe.
4. pelamin
5. venue - finally we got a spot!
6. HIV test - we passed our test yippie!

pheww. all the dramas paid off. FotoPhactory joined a ten-day promotion for wedding works, hosted by Kraftangan Malaysia from 4 to 13 July 2009.

our first time joining. i heard the news just one week before the event and registered last minute - on the closing date itself. and started all the preparations - designing albums, reprinting stuff, frames bla bla. penat cam nak pengsan dengan stress lagi sebab event dah nak dekat tapi benda banyak lagi nak buat suma (haha mimang la aku suka stress kan).

but it all paid off. not financially, sweetheart. but at least we got some bookings - thank you for those who believe in us. and for the first time in 2009, i got this HUGE satisfaction from my job! pheww. and what i learnt out of the event, i really treasured.

biggest thanks go to khairi who helped out and supported me all the way, with full of patience and love. ecewah drama haha! and to Ax Rafar of Custom Picture - dude thanks for helping me out with my preparations and thanks for introducing the promo to me! thanks and congratulations adibah for your EXCELLENT job marketing our packages! we're so impressed and you're officially our marketing exec now hehe.

thanks to ayah also for your ideas & for visiting us there. thanks to mak for your advices and for coming like 4 times to the booth (hehe) and patiently takes care of the booth while i wasn't there. to other Conlay Photographers - Idzwan & Surya from G.i Photoshoot for lending me your easel hehe and for your tips. finally i listened to what this one recruitment consultant said to me, back in 2007 - "wahida, go out and DO what you WANT to do". i took his words and no regrets.

i took my risk, and it was the risk worth taking. definitely.

no,not to my wedding, but that's how long i haven't been checking out my blog.

to wordphactory, hello again. gosh how i missed typing stuff out. but well, no mood, no writings. hehe.

life has been pretty interesting (haha) for the past two-and-a-half months.

now let's see. what's interesting for the past coupla months:

2. me got engaged with khairi on may 2nd. can't belive it's two-and-a-half months already! how time flew.

3. linda is happily married to fariz. heiii sukenye tingok dorang, suwit sangat!

4. fotophactory joined Promosi Kerja Kahwin 2009 at Kompleks Kraf Jalan Conlay, KL from 4 to 13 July 2009 - the best days in my working life in 2009. hehe. kejam je statement but really.

pening.

gula, mentega, telur dan tepung diputar bersama. tambah sesudu teh serbuk coklat. putar lagi. namti nampak warna coklat selang-selang dengan kuning.

macam tu la saya punya pening sekarang. pusing-pusing. semua ada dalam satu bakul. saya pening.

ada satu benda saya tunggu dari disember. ni dah nak masuk mei. tak ada lagi. kejam. saya sangat tidak faham. birokrasi tahap dewa.

dan lain-lain juga.

hujung minggu ni saya akan jumpa keluarga di kampung. mereka akan membuat saya gembira semula.

second try. this time, i tried Nigella Lawson's recipe that i got from a blog. i intended to make 24 cupcakes so i double up the ingredients, but it turned out that the mixture was enough for 48 cupcakes! (i used 1.5" cups). exactly 48, no wastage. hail Nigella!

i chucked in chocolate powder / choc chips / choc chunks / white choc chunks to come up with 4 varieties:
- Viva Vanilla (vanilla with choc chips)
- County Orange (zesty orange with choc chunks) - with real orange juice!
- Dark White* (choc with white choc chunks)
- Mallowdramatic (choc with marshmallow) - the mashmallow melted and actually left a hole in my cakes hehe.

this time the cupcakes turned out better than the first try. the frosting texture improved, but it's a tad salty. next time need to put more sugar.

frostings are still sloppy. need to play around more with the icing and nozzles. (i dream of more and more nozzles. lalala.)

those who tasted the cupcakes, thank you for your comments & advice. really appreciate it. :D

*Dark White is actually the name of a printing company owned by my friends Kusha & Shasha. the name doesn't sound pretty bad on a cupcake either. hehe. bole ke kita pinjam nama korang tu?
